I know all of you will join me in thanks to that extra special network NBC for bringing us yet another Law & Order. Now, to join Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Apparently there is also a game called Law & Order: Justice is Served. And, for some reason I thought that there was a Law & Order: CSI, but I may just be imagining things. Perhaps the Law & Order cops made an appearance on CSI New York. Also, I think the CSI franchise is on another network.

So, Last night GRC and I watched part of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. OK, there is bad TV out there, but this show has elevated bad TV to a whole new level. It is pretty obvious that a network is grasping at straws when there is a whole show dedicated to sex crimes. It think is says something disturbing about the North American audience's penchant for seeing stories about women, young girls and little boys getting sexually assaulted and then murdered, but I'd rather not get into that. The show is badly acted, poorly written and so transparent that it is a waste of time. However, the creators of Law & Order have been given license to make a new show starring Bebe Neuwirth. Now, THAT has to be the mark of a career gone down the tubes - you end up in a Law & Order franchise.
