This morning I was TOTALLY fooled. I woke up all cozy and warm at 7:30am. The light in my room was that blue colour before the sun is really up. It was very nice. I thought to myself, OK it can't be as cold as it was yesterday. WRONG! I got up and turned on the TV to see the expected temperature. I swear as I was watching the TV they changed the wind chill factor from -31 to -35. Imagine!

I hate people with car alarms. Last night - well from 4am onward - the alarm on some jerks car kept going off over and over again. If it were warmer out I would have gotten out of bed and thrown a rock at the car. I don't understand why someone would think it was necessary to wake up an entire neighbourhood because a raccoon or cat decided to jump on the car. I don't know where this guy lives, but he was either real far from his car unable to fix the problem. I wonder if you can get a car towed for causing a disturbance.

Then, this morning, as I was walking toward the streetcar angry because I was real tired, I walked by the culprit. I knew that was the offending vehicle because it had a sign on it that said "My alarm kept this nieghbourhood up all night". I guess I wasn't the only angry nieghbour.

So, I was sitting in the bathroom looking down at my panties when I noticed something. The washing instructions on them say “Machine wash cold.” That’s fine but then they suggest that I ‘hang to dry’. Is that really necessary? They are plain blue cotton with little pictures of cherries on them. Do they really require that I hang them? I mean, if I were to put all my laundry on a line, I would include my panties, if they are a fancy pair of lace panties, they will certainly be put on a line. A dryer will ruin lace panties, but a plain cotton pair, come on now. I think someone was being a little overzealous when it came to the care instructions. If they were silk would the instructions say “Dry clean only”?

It is ridiculously snowy outside. People go crazy in weather like this. I waited a good long time for the bus, which arrived about 10 minutes late FULL of people. I got on and at the next stop some passenger decided to start yelling at the bus driver because of the unsafe conditions. As if he caused the snow to fall. She was hilarious, and the bus driver just ignored her as she yelled. What was the guy supposed to do? Perhaps he should have followed her to work and stood over her shoulder so he could tell her how to do her job.

Last night I watched about 5 seconds of the news. I caught the bit about people learning to dance like strippers for a cardio workout. Then my sister called to say that she started that class about three weeks ago. That's right, my sister is learning to be a stripper.

So, I get back home after a hard day's work. It is the coldest day in creation and all I want is a cup ofmint tea to warm me up. However, when I get to the kitchen I see that GRC has made chocolate chip cookies. How great is that?! Now I can have cookies with my. In truth, I have already had two cookies.

Now, I am sad because tomorrow GRC is going to house sit at a place far far away for like three months. It is a trial separation. She is sequestering herself to get her dissertation done. What am I going to do with myself? I can't make cookies. I don't know how the garbage works. How am I going to figure it out? It's sink or swim time at my house.
